MY NEW DOGGY, ALFIE THE GREYHOUND!

Here is our new dog, Alfie, a 2 year old greyhound whom we have rehomed from Sittingbourne Retired Greyhound Trust in Chartham, nr Canterbury. He's a Lovely boy, who was born (or whelped as they call it!) in 2007 and bred in Ireland. His name was Alfie Moonshine but we just prefer to call him Alfie. He came home with us on 14th March 2009. Please click on the photos to view them full size.

BLUE DECEMBER

Feeling blue, how about you?
Feeling sad, never glad,
Feeling down, no one ever around,
Feeling shit, wanna stick around for a bit?
Feeling bored, feeling flawed,
Feeling unhappy, tired and crappy,
Feeling broke, it's no fucking joke,
Feeling alone, till my man comes home,
Feeling angry, never ordinary,
Feeling pain, never the same,
Feeling funny, whilst the weathers not sunny,
Feeling old, achy and cold,
Feeling moody and occasionally broody,
Feeling tearful, feeling fearful,
Still feeling blue, so what's fucking new?!

WORLD AIDS DAY - 1ST DECEMBER 2008

Today is World Aids Day and I wear my Red Ribbon with Pride,
No longer should men and women feel they have to hide,
Their faces from the others as they walk along the street,
And have to face the prejudice from people that they meet,
Lets take this time together to educate the world,
And make the message clear that people need be told,
That HIV is not always a death sentence anymore,
But still affects everyone, men, women, rich or poor,
So get tested, know your status, be careful and take care,
And remember to respect others, be kind and to share,
Now I'm off to light my candle, in memory of those who've died,
I hope you'll do the same, and set your fears aside.
