LA LUNE

I wonder what it's like to be an alien on the Moon,
All cold and dry and dark and so very much alone,
Just bouncing around here and there, each and every day,
All he wants and all he needs, is a special friend to come play,
The craters make a playground, to skip and jump and run,
But its always on his own coz he's the only one,
The Moon is dry, there is no rain, there are no seas or air,
He looks down on Planet Earth and wishes he could fly there,
He has a little spaceship but it doesn't get him far,
It crashed when he landed upon this distant star,
He came from such a long way, and he travelled day and night,
For years across the galaxies, till he came upon this sight,
He saw, he marvelled, he truly felt in awe,
This Blue Planet below him was simply beautiful!
He longs to be down there, living like we do,
We are so very lucky, Me, Him, Her, Us and You,
For now he'll have to wait, a little longer still,
Until one day he's rescued, and his dreams can be fulfilled!

What a wonderful poem. It makes me want to go there and visit this little moon dweller and keep her company. And with the two of us there together, there would be absolutely no need to travel over to that beautiful looking blue planet that she often sits, all alone and with a tear in her eye, and watches set below the moons horizon. The earth is a wonderful place, but you will get tired of it after a while, believe me.

The moon could be our new home together, but remember...just don't skip and jump too high, or you will float off out into space forever and ever and ever!
